A Bulgarian woman is among the eight victims of the landslide on Italy’s Ischia Island

A fifty-eight-year-old Bulgarian woman is among the eight victims of the landslide in Casamicciola terme on Ital’s Ischia island, confirmed the prefect of Naples, Claudio Palomba. 

Italian television channel RAI 1 showed her photos and informed that she was known to locals as Nina. She has worked for many years in the tourism and hospitality industry, Recently, the woman has lived in Germany with her Italian husband. The Bulgarian woman returned from Berlin to receive new documents after obtaining Italian citizenship. A wave of mud and debris caused by heavy rains devastated the small town of Casamicciola Terme in the north of the island off Naples early on Saturday morning.
