Professor Nikolay Gabrovski, who was nominated for Prime Minister by GERB/SDS, is to propose a prospective cabinet and a short governance program. On Monday, Nikolay Gabrovski is expected to inform Bulgaria’s President that he is ready to fulfill the government-forming mandate. The prospective cabinet is expected to be voted in Parliament on December 14 or December 15. A simple majority in parliament is required to approve a government. Parliament has to ensure the requisite quorum of 121 MPs to hold a sitting, which means that a new cabinet could be appointed with 62 votes in favor, Marta Mladenova reports.
