European Union Foreign Ministers will meet on December 12 to try to agree on further sanctions on Russia and Iran and an additional EUR 2 billion for arms deliveries to Ukraine, Reuters reported. However, it remains unclear whether Hungary will block some decisions, resorting to what diplomats have announced as “blackmail diplomacy” due to a dispute over locked EU funds for Budapest.

On Sunday, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with the U.S President Joe Biden and with the Presidents of Turkey and France, Recep Erdogan and Emmanuel Macron. After the phone talks, President Zelensky announced that a new G7 summit would be held and that Ukraine would be invited to the meeting.
