For the sixth year, the initiative of the British Embassy in Sofia "Ambassador for a Day" will be held under the patronage of Vice President Iliana Iotova. The competition, created by the former British ambassador to Bulgaria Emma Hopkins, encourages Bulgarian girls to express their views on a wide range of issues of importance to society and to develop their potential.

Over the past years, over 60 girls from all over Bulgaria had the opportunity to work with leaders in various fields and learn from their experience.

This year, applicants aged 14 to 18 will have to write an essay answering the question "If you were an ambassador for a day, how would you promote equality between women and men in Bulgaria?". The three best participants will have the opportunity to participate in the daily working life of Vice President Iliana Iotova and British Ambassador Rob Dixon.
