Prices are up in November, but down y-o-y

The inflation rate is slowing down for the second month running. In November the National Statistical Institute registered a 16.9% inflation rate, versus over 17% a month earlier, and the record 18.7% in September.

The monthly inflation rate for November is 0.8%. The prices of practically all groups of commodities and services have gone up, the price rise being steepest for thermal energy. In October, monthly inflation in Bulgaria was 0.9%, compared to the previous month and annual inflation, compared to October 2021, is 17.6%. According to the small consumer basket price index, the increase in November 2022 is 1.4% on a monthly basis, and 21.4% since the beginning of the year.
