The Bulgarian Industrial Association has come out with a position for accelerated accession to the euro area and introduction of the euro on January 1, 2024.

In the position, the non-governmental organization points out that the discussion on adopting the euro is unequivocally finished and calls on the state authorities to immediately start a broad information campaign about the procedures and effects of joining the eurozone.

BIA also called on MPs for the timely adoption of effective legislative acts necessary for joining the area and conducting a prudent fiscal policy.
