A year ago, the ceremony of cutting the hull steel was held for the first of the two new ships "Hrabri" (Brave). A significant part of its hull has already been built on the pier.

"Multifunctional ships will allow the Bulgarian navy to perform all tasks of protecting national maritime interests and to successfully participate in allied operations and missions," said Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Kiril Mihailov

The two ships "Hrabri" and "Smeli" are 90 meters long with a displacement оf 2,300 tonnes. They are made according to the design of the German NVL Group with an integrated combat control system.

The completion of the first ship "Hrabri" is planned for 2025 and for the second ship "Smeli" in 2026.
