Adventurer Stefan Ivanov sets out on the world's first rowing expedition from Antarctica across the Southern Ocean. At the beginning of 2023, Ivanov will depart to Antarctica with a 6-member international crew. Stefan Ivanov was personally invited by the leader of the mission - Icelandic explorer Fiann Paul. Fiann is known for being the fastest ocean rower and the most-record breaking ocean rower. The expedition is named 'Shackleton's Mission'. The group will follow the journey made by British explorer Ernest Shackleton and his crew on their three-masted barquentine “Endurance”.
The expedition will begin in January 2023 from the Antarctic Peninsula to the island of South Georgia, through what is considered the most dangerous ocean corner of the planet in the Cape Horn region. If their mission turns successful, Stefan and his crew will set six Guinness World Records.
