Eighty-eight projects of municipalities that provide social care at home will be financed with a total of BGN 3 million (EUR 1.5 million) from the "Social Protection" fund.

The funds will be used to buy new light trucks for the delivery of hot lunches to the homes of disadvantaged people.

Domestic social patronage has established itself as one of the most important public functions in the conditions of crisis, the Ministry of Social Affairs points out.

Thanks to the service, many elderly people are assisted in coping with their daily needs and manage to adapt to the new conditions after the spread of the coronavirus.
