Bulgaria and Turkey boost partnership in the fight against migrant trafficking

Bulgaria and Turkey have confirmed the joint commitment of both countries to guarantee the protection of the rights of their citizens and the borders of the Euro-Atlantic area. This became clear at a meeting today in Ankara of the Chief Prosecutor of Bulgaria Ivan Geshev with Mehmet Akarca, President of the Supreme Court of Turkey, and the Turkish Chief Prosecutor Bekir Sahin. 
The chief prosecutors of both countries emphasized the need to deepen the partnership to counter illegal migration and terrorism. They emphasized on strengthening the actions to cross the channels of migrant trafficking and the prosecution of the organizers of this type of crime.

Within the framework of the visit to the Republic of Turkey, the Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev will also hold meetings with the Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdag and the Minister of Internal Affairs Süleyman Soylu.
