According to the latest Eurobarometer survey, commissioned by the European Parliament, only 49% of the Bulgarians interviewed think that Bulgaria's EU membership is a positive development.

The crises, especially the war in Ukraine, have strengthened support for EU membership, with 62% of EU respondents believing it is a good thing, but only 49% of Bulgarians share this view. 54% of Bulgarians are convinced that EU membership is important and 60% believe that Bulgaria has benefited from it. For 53% of Bulgarians surveyed, EU membership opens up new job opportunities.

People are most worried in Greece - 100%, Cyprus - 99%, Italy and Portugal - 98% each. In Bulgaria this percentage is also among the highest - 96%.
