An earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale registered near Sofia

An earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale was registered today near the town of Elin Pelin, seismologists from the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences said. 

The earthquake was registered at 15:58 pm Bulgarian time. Its epicenter was located 22 kilometres from Sofia. According to seismologists, the earthquake was not felt on the territory of the country.
