Bulgaria has been supplying ammunition to Ukraine since the beginning of the war

Bulgaria is unable to provide Ukraine with heavy weapons, such as anti-aircraft missile systems and aircraft, until replacements are found, Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov stated for the Bulgarian National Television (BNT). "Bulgaria has been providing armaments to Ukraine without a decision of the parliament for a long time - this is the very truth. The fact that the ammunition does not reach Ukraine directly is clear to everyone. The previous government can deny it as much as they want," said Stoyanov.

He clarified that the Bulgarian army does not currently export newly produced weapons to Kyiv, but only what has been approved by the parliament.

Ukrainian troops are inflicting significant losses on Russian forces in Soledar, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in another video address. He reported that he had discussed with senior commanders what reinforcements were needed in the battle for Soledar, as well as actions in the coming days to supply weapons and ammunition and cooperation with partners for this.

Zelensky expressed hope that the support offered to Ukraine by Poland and Lithuania could mean that other countries would follow suit. Polish President Andrzej Duda announced that Warsaw would supply Kyiv with Leopard tanks, and his colleague Gitanas Nauseda - that Lithuania would supply it with anti-aircraft weapons and ammunition. Finland has expressed a cautious desire to supply Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, DPA notes. Britain has also announced that it will deliver a company of 12 Challenger tanks to Ukraine.
