Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto to visit Sofia

Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto will pay a working visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of caretaker Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov. The two officials will discuss the strengthening of the strategic partnership in areas of mutual interest and within the EU, as well as the consequences of the Russian aggression in Ukraine. 

On 16 January, the two will hold a face-to-face meeting, after which plenary talks between the two countries' official delegations will take place. This will be followed by a joint press briefing. 

Within the framework of the visit, Szijjarto will also meet with President Rumen Radev and caretaker Energy Minister Rossen Hristov.
