"The state was in a limbo and the communication channels were broken when we took over", said caretaker Premier Galab Donev at an open meeting of the Council of Ministers at which the caretaker cabinet reported on its activity in the past six months.

Funding to the tune of nearly EUR 10 billion has been secured under 10 European programmes during the term of the caretaker cabinet, Premier Galab Donev said. The National Assembly has obligated the Council of Ministers to submit the entire package of bills related to the second tranche of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Galab Donev pointed. In Premier Donev’s words, all the measures and objectives set out in the Recovery and Resilience Plan have been successfully implemented thanks to the proper coordination between the ministries, which secured the first payment by the European Commission worth nearly EUR 1.23 billion.
