Bulgarian girl impresses the jury at contest for beautiful and gifted children in Thailand

Before I could speak, I started singing at the age of two, says Boyana Atanasova, a student from the 4th Language High School in Varna, who won several first prizes at the world competition "Kids Star International" held in Pattaya, Thailand. She has received awards for posing in a photo shoot, for presentation of an evening outfit and for overall presentation. ‎

The Bulgarian girl was also awarded in another very important category - national costume presentation.

Boyana says that in this category there was serious competition, as there were girls dressed in extremely lavish costumes, decorated with feathers of birds and exotic animals and plants. But the jury was impressed by an authentic Bulgarian national costume from the Varna folklore region of a lazarka, with which Boyana chose to represent Bulgaria. The costume is extremely colourful, embroidered and with a very beautiful accessory for the head.

Thus, thanks to our participant, for the first time in the history of contests in Asia, a Bulgarian national costume ranked in the top three of the awarded participants.

In Thailand, the young girl from Varna also presented her singing talent, performing a song in three languages - French, English and Bulgarian.‎
