“We reached a political agreement for the 7th tranche of military support under the European Peace Facility, with an additional EUR 500 million and an additional assistance measure worth EUR 45 million for the Ukrainian forces being trained by the European Union Military Assistance Mission Ukraine”, The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said after the Foreign Affairs Council. This brings the total military support under the European Peace Facility to EUR 3.6 billion. “Second, our support for Ukraine’s initiative for a just peace. We will continue supporting the substance of this proposal, to ensure the broadest possible global support. For that, we will insist on the two key elements: Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, and Ukraine’s inherent right of self-defence”, Josep Borrell, noted. “Third, the need for accountability. It is Russia that is on the side of war, on the side of the violation of international law. Ukraine stands for peace and is taking initiatives in that regard. We have not seen any genuine willingness from Russia regarding a fair and sustainable peace",  The European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, said Germany would not stop other EU countries exporting Leopard tanks.

Russia will add three motorized rifle divisions as part of combined arms formations in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, said Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. “"The system of mobilization training in our country was not fully adapted to the new modern economic relations," General Gerasimov said.
