Parliamentary elections abroad will cost more compared to last year

About 750 polling stations are expected to be opened for the snap parliamentary elections abroad on April 2, 2023, Bulgaria's caretaker Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov announced

According to him, the elections abroad will cost about 4 million euros according to the plan, while the last elections abroad required 3 million euros.

We want all Bulgarian citizens abroad to be able to exercise their right to vote. Things are getting more complicated all the time. A lot more people will have to be sent from Bulgaria, maybe over 1,000 people, because of the changes in the Electoral Code. This will probably make the elections more expensive, because of the higher remuneration of the election committee members and the large number of seconded people, Milkov said.
