MEPs from the Netherlands and Belgium will visit the border with Turkey to see with their own eyes how Bulgaria is dealing with migrant pressure. The visit will take place within two months, announced the Bulgarian MEP Angel Jambazki.

The idea was discussed at a meeting of President Rumen Radev with representatives of the European Conservatives and Reformists, who are holding an extended meeting of their group in Sofia. The aim is to remove the last obstacles to the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen government.
