Several countries have still not given permission for polling stations in their territory

Bulgarians living abroad will probably vote in 136 countries in the April 2 parliamentary elections, according to the latest report from Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry.

Due to the specifics of the administrative procedures, Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Canada, Moldova, Serbia and Norway have not yet given permission for the opening of polling stations on their territory.

In the Czech Republic, Bulgarians will be able to vote only on the territory of the Bulgarian embassy, and no polling stations will be opened in Brno, Jihlava, Liberec, Mlada Boleslav and Pilsen.

A proposal was also made to unite polling stations on the territory of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The "Elections" working group with the Foreign Ministry has proposed to the Central Election Committee that the polling station in the Turkish city of Adana be moved to the neighboring regional city of Mersin, which is located 80 kilometers from it, due to the destruction caused by the earthquakes. The experts from the diplomatic service also suggest not to open polling stations in the resorts in Greece and Turkey, as it is not expected that there will be Bulgarian voters there on the day of the elections.

Polling stations could be opened in the Republic of North Macedonia, at the suggestion of our consul, in Bitola, in Kavadarci and Prilep.
