The prominent Bulgarian violinist Vasko Vassilev will be the concertmaster of the orchestra for the coronation of King Charles III, reports the musician's team.

The historic event will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, where royal coronations have been held since 1066.

The Coronation Orchestra is the name of the special orchestra which will bring together illustrious performers from all the UK's orchestras. The concert will be conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano, BTA reported.
"It is a great privilege and honour for me to receive this invitation and to be part of this historic event. The King has for years supported musicians in the United Kingdom and, in particular, the Royal Opera House, so I accept this commitment with great responsibility, great excitement and undisguised pleasure", says the Bulgarian violinist.
