Protests are being organized in different cities of Bulgaria this evening as 24 February marks one year since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. In Sofia, the procession will begin in front of the presidency building, and the organizers do not spare their criticism of President Rumen Radev's reluctance to provide arms to Ukraine.

"We must stop Russia" - this is what the vice president of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, who is on a two-day visit to Bulgaria, said, stressing that Europe will help Ukraine as long as it is necessary to win the war.

Dombrovskis visited the humanitarian centre of the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Bulgaria "Mati Ukraine" together with the Ambassador of Ukraine Vitaly Moskalenko. Dombrovskis pointed out that the EU has accepted about 4 million Ukrainian refugees, about 50 thousand of whom are in Bulgaria.
