Bulgaria's National Liberation Day celebrated in New York

The Bulgarian national flag was raised in New York City on the occasion of Bulgaria's National Day of Liberation, March 3. Mayor Eric Adams personally honored the Bulgarian event in the commercial heart of New York - Bowling Green, not far from Wall Street. Students from the largest Bulgarian school in the city - Hristo Botev school presented him with a scarf with the Bulgarian flag and a martenitsa made by the school's graduates.

The celebration was also attended by Western and Central European Metropolitan Anthony, Lyubomira Georgieva - Consul of Bulgaria in New York, Edward Mermelstein - Head of the Mayor's Office of International Affairs, representatives of the Bulgarian community, etc.



The celebration ended with a national horo dance, and Bulgarian rhythms cheered up the residents and guests of the city on a cold March day, the "Hristo Botev" Bulgarian School in New York reported for Radio Bulgaria.
