Bulgaria’s military research ship "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" set sail from Antarctica to Bulgaria. The scientists and logisticians who have been working at St. Kliment Ohridski Base (the Bulgarian Antarctic base on Livingston Island) are onboard the vessel.

The Bulgarian Antarctic base has been winterized until the next Antarctic summer, when the polar researchers will continue their scientific projects. This season, they explored the geology of the rocks and made prospecting for precious metals. Research on global warming and glacial melting continued. The researchers successfully built the foundations of the new laboratory unit at the Bulgarian Antarctic base.
