Mountain Rescue Service: weather conditions are not suitable for mountain hiking

 Today, March 11, weather conditions are not suitable for mountain hiking, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross warned. The weather is cloudy and foggy, and there are strong winds on higher ground.

It is drizzling in the lower parts of Vitosha. It is snowing at a higher altitude. There is fog and conditions are not suitable for skiing. It is snowing lightly in Pirin, with temperatures ranging from 0 to minus 2 degrees Celsius. The ski runs in Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets are open. No tourist incidents were reported during the past day.
