Bulgaria hosts Balkan Snow Volleyball Championship for the first time

March From 17 to 19, Bulgaria hosts Balkan Championship in snow volleyball for the first time. The event is taking place at the foot of Mount Perelik in the Rhodope Mountains, reports 360mag.bg. Athletes from Bulgaria, Turkiye and Romania are participating at the snow volleyball championship. "The court is of the same size as in beach volleyball. The big difference is that it is played on snow. However, the atmospheric conditions are completely different",  coach Stefka Velikova said for the website of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation.

In 2022, the first national snow volleyball championship was held at the foot of Mount Perelik.
