The rectors of nine universities from Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Turkiye, North Macedonia, Greece and Albania signed today at the University of Veliko Tarnovo a memorandum for the establishment of a Balkan University Centre, the BNR’s correspondent in Veliko Tarnovo Zdravka Maslyankova reported.
It will provide an opportunity for joint development of projects, participation in educational programmes and infrastructural improvements. The centre will also enable the universities to apply for EU funding for education and science, explained the rectors of the Balkan universities. “Together with our colleagues, we set a good example for politicians and our peoples”, said Professor Hristo Bonjolov, Rector of the University of Veliko Tarnovo.
