"There can be no winners in a nuclear war, and it must never be unleashed", reads a declaration signed by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and China‘s President Xi Jinping after the official talks in Moscow. "We believe that many of the provisions of the peace plan put forward by China are consonant with Russian approaches and could be used as the basis of a peace settlement, when the West and Kyiv are ready. However, so far we see no such readiness from their side”, said Vladimir Putin referring to Great Britain’s intention to provide Ukraine with tanks and tanks shells made with depleted uranium. "Russia will respond accordingly if the West starts giving Ukraine weapons with a nuclear component”, Vladimir Putin warned.

"The United States does not see China as capable of being an impartial mediator between Moscow and Kyiv over the war in Ukraine", White House National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby said. In his words, “China has refrained from criticizing the Russian invasion in Ukraine and has continued to buy Russian oil even as the West piles sanctions on Moscow’s energy industry to starve the Kremlin of money to pay for the war”. “China keeps parroting the Russian propaganda that the USA and other western countries are to blame for the war”, added John Kirby.
