Bulgarian Navy uses underwater robot for the first time

The underwater robot, acquired recently by the Bulgarian Navy, was used for the first time in tactical exercises by the Bulgarian naval forces in the Black Sea.

The exercises involving the rescue ship Proteo, the inshore minesweeper Evstati Vinarov, the minelayer Sirius, the tanker Akin and the Aheloy, simulated convoy defence, shooting at sea and air targets, deflecting enemy attacks, helping submarines which have suffered damages etc., the Bulgarian Navy has announced.
