“When God leads you by the hand, your road is destined to succeed… and undreamed, the dream shall come true… and undiscovered, your peak shall be discovered…”
That is the message conveyed by the song “When God…”. The story of how it came into being started with a telephone call by Ivan Tenev – renowned poet, artist and society chronicler – to composer Mitko Gidishki, with whom he had worked on several songs through the years. But this time the lyrics of “When God leads you by the hand…” turned out to be more special, says the author of the music and the arrangement Mitko Gidishki and goes on:
“The lyrics immediately sounded in my head with a melody, an arrangement and with the voices of Orlin Goranov and Christiana Loizu. I had no hesitation about who should sing these lyrics. Orlin Goranov is a singer who can sing anything – opera, musicals, pop or jazz. Christiana Loizu had riveted my attention long ago with her crystal-clear voice, her wide range of voice and her artistic flair. I am very grateful to them that with their brilliant performance they breathed life into the lyrics and the music.”
The musicians involved in recording the song are well-known and very popular: Tsvetan Nedyalkov-guitar, Mihail Yossifov-trumpet, Velislav Stoyanov-trombone, Kalin Zhechev-piano, Nedelcho Dimitrov-French horn, not to mention the excellent studio work by Ivan Ivanov.
