Thousands of believers will flock to the St. Alexander Nevksi cathedral where, at midnight, the Resurrection will be celebrated. The divine liturgy begins at 11.30 PM, and half an hour later the attendees will join the procession to walk around the cathedral, holding candles lit from the Holy Fire. The divine liturgy is expected to be attended by President Rumen Radev, caretaker PM Galab Donev, politicians and public figures.

Metropolitan bishop Cyprian of Stara Zagora announced that after a two-year break because of the coronavirus pandemic, a Bulgarian church delegation will again be travelling to Jerusalem to bring back the Holy Fire.
