The data for the upcoming summer season are positive and we expect to exceed by 5% the result of the record year 2019 for national tourism, Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov said at Bulgaria's Albena seaside resort.

Many tourists are expected from traditional markets, but also from the developing ones - Poland and the Czech Republic. The UK market is also growing. The German market, which had a serious decline, is recovering gradually. Compared to the previous summer season of 2022, the number of tourists is expected to increase by 25%,  the minister explained.

Dimitrov recalled that the country ended a very good winter season. Despite the lack of snow in winter, the levels from 2019 and before the Covid pandemic have been surpassed by 9%.
