The caretaker government will submit the draft state budget for 2023 on Monday at the latest, President Rumen Radev announced during today’s consultations with the Bulgarian Socialist Party. “This will mean there will be clarity for the political parties as well regarding what the caretaker government will submit, so the job can be done quickly, opinions can be formulated, possible adjustment programmes drawn up, but we really need to have a budget adopted,” Rumen Radev said, and added that unless the question of a budget is resolved quickly, and unless parliament forms a cabinet “both the budget and the laws will be buried and will not be endorsed because there will not be enough parliamentary time”.
