The Ministry of Environment and Water is marking Earth Day, 22 April, with a string of initiatives nationwide, under the motto Investing in our planet.
“The human impact is, without doubt, a major factor warming up the planet and some form of climate disturbances are going to be apparent for centuries to come,” the ministry says and adds that we need to create a 21st century economy to restore the health of the planet, protect our species and offer opportunities for all.
