Russian aggression represents a gross violation of the international legal order and has dealt a serious blow to the existing architecture of international security, leading to significant consequences for public and political life, including in Bulgaria. This is what Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov said during the conference "Countering Russian Hybrid Activities" organized by the Sofia Security Forum.

Russia uses a full arsenal of hybrid tactics, including turning energy and basic food supplies into instruments, cyber activities for control over sensitive technologies, unprecedented strengthening of propaganda aimed at internal political destabilization of our societies, as well as provoking discontent and reducing solidarity with Ukraine, the minister added.

Milkov said that 2% of GDP for defense is already accepted as the minimum level in NATO and pointed out that in 2024 Bulgaria will reach this threshold.
