Nigeria could be a gateway for Bulgarian investors to Africa

Nigeria, as a part of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), can ensure access for Bulgarian investors to the markets of all countries in this area.

The resumption of bilateral cooperation could build on the good ties between the two countries in the 1970s and 1980s. This is what the Nigerian Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mariam Katagum, told BTA during her visit to Bulgaria, pointing out that the Nigerian National Theatre was built by Bulgarian companies at that time and its architecture is similar to that of the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna. Mrs. Katagum said Bulgaria had started negotiations for the supply of oil from the African country.

President Rumen Radev is also expected to visit Abuja and Lagos.
