A security camera recorded a bear running through the center of the village of Vladaya near Sofia. The shots were taken on 6am on May 3rd. In the video, the frightened animal runs through the streets, which are close to the Vitosha National Park.

The animal was also seen by people who were waiting at a public transport stop. "There was a reason to panic. The noise was quite strange, the dogs were obviously worried," Mario Marinov told bTV. According to experts, the animal is about 2 years old and crossed the gorge separating Vitosha and Lyulin mountains near the Bulgarian capital.
