GERB: A government with political forces other than We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria is an emergency option

“A cabinet within the current parliament is only possible on the first mandate (that of GERB- editorial note),” said GERB deputy chair Tomislav Donchev in an interview with public service TV BNT. In his words, the most logical option is to make the first mandate work as a coalition between GERB/SDS and We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria, which can only happen “if We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria learn to control their emotions”. He described the option of support from the other political forces – the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Vazrazhdane and There Is Such a People - as very difficult.

“That is an emergency option, an attempt to form a difficult short-term horizon government that would only aim to normalize the processes in the country,” Tomislav Donchev said.
