Bulgaria's population decreases by more than 50,000 people per year, which is equivalent to the population of a district city, sociologist Yuri Aslanov said at a forum on the demographic crisis.  According to a survey conducted by AFIS sociological agency, 60% of the repspondents believe that things in Bulgaria are headed in the wrong direction and more than 53% distrust the institutions.

The data also indicate that 4% of children in Bulgaria do not go to school, 7% do not complete primary education. Meanwhile, 500,000 people are excluded from the health system, because they have no health insurance.
