Bulgaria calls on India to use its influence on Russia to end the war in Ukraine

Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov has urged India to use its influence on Russia to end the war in Ukraine, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said. Minister Kondov met with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar during an EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, which took place in Stockholm in the framework of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU. 

Minister Kondov attended an informal lunch with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba. During the forum, the Bulgarian minister stressed "the need for continued support to Ukraine in the context of the ongoing Russian aggression," the Foreign Ministry said. Ivan Kondov invited India’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to visit Bulgaria.
