Four members of the Prosecutor's Collegium in the Supreme Judicial Council have submitted a second proposal for the dismissal of chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev.

The motive is "actions undermining the prestige of the judiciary". The petitioners are referring to the chief prosecutor's press conference on May 15, when he called some of the MPs in the parliament "political trash." The members of the prosecutor's collegium elected by the parliament: Yordan Stoev, Kalina Chapkanova, Gergana Mutafova and Georgi Kuzmanov, insist that the Supreme Judicial Council propose to the president to remove Ivan Geshev from office. Unlike the previous request submitted on May 12, this time the signatures of Ognyan Damyanov and Svetlana Boshnakova are missing.
