Ivan Yurukov's film "Till the Final Caprice" will be screened in London one year after its premiere. The event will take place on May 27 at the Ondaatje Theatre, Royal Geographical Society at 7:30pm local time. The event also features performances by violinist Svetlin Roussev. In addition, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet with writer Georgi Gospodinov, winner of the International Booker Prize 2023.
Ivan Yurukov started to work on the film back in 2016. However, the Covid-19 pandemic delayed its release. The film features a virtuoso violin player of Bulgarian descent who left Bulgaria long ago. He returns to a Bulgarian village with the only aim to achieve perfection in performing Paganini's 24 Caprices.
"Till the Final Caprice” is the directorial debut of actor Ivan Yurukov. Ivan Yurukov has been interested in music for many years - he was among the founders of the band TERPENTINA which comprised Ivan Yurukov - vocals and guitar, Martin Stoyanov - Martist - keyboards and vocals, Nikolay Dimitrov - Koky - percussion, Petko Slavov - bass guitar and vocals, and Stoyan Bojkilov - guitar. Recently the actor recorded several songs with the band. He authored the music and the lyrics of the pieces. The songs will be included in an upcoming album "Nostalgia", which is to be released this summer. "Kratka Vechnost" is one of them.
