Nikolay Denkov, PP-DB: The most constructive majority can be achieved with GERB

The GERB-SDS nominee for prime minister, Mariya Gabriel, set conditions for the coalition "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) to continue negotiations on forming a parliament. "The talks are not in an ice age. There are no rays of sunshine to melt the ice, though. There can only be talks if the format, composition, personalities, model, principles and trust are rethought," Gabriel said.

In response, Nikolay Denkov, nominated for Prime Minister by the coalition PP-DB, who received the second cabinet mandate from the President, stated that he was ready to talk with the representatives of GERB.

"We have to sit together with them and see what is hidden under these changes of the format... We have always said that we will also talk to the other formations, but it is clear that a majority in this configuration of the parliament could most easily and constructively happen with GERD. That's why the first conversation should be with them, and the conversations with others depend on it," he told journalists.
