Nearly 1/3 of children cannot afford a holiday outside the home for at least a week a year. Every fourth child does not have equipment for playing outside - bicycle, roller skates, etc. This is shown by data from a UNICEF report covering children from Europe and Central Asia. The report was prepared jointly with the National Statistical Institute. According to NSI data, as of December 31, 2022, just over 1 million children live in Bulgaria.
