We will listen to one more witness, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Daniela Masheva. Evidence requested by Bulgaria's prosecutor general Ivan Geshev will be discussed. Within the day, there should be a vote, stated Justice Minister Atanas Slavov before the meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council for the removal of the chief prosecutor. The removal is requested because of Geshev's public statements regarding MPs in parliament, calling them "political trash".

"From my assassination attempt to a politically staged attempt to remove me in violation of any principles vis-à-vis the chief prosecutor, imagine what guarantees every magistrate, and indeed every Bulgarian, has," said Geshev, before the council.

He announced that he would travel to Brussels on June 12 to speak before the European Parliament.
