Four Paws Foundation sent five tons of dog and cat food to aid animals in Nova Kakhovka region where catastrophic floods have engulfed towns and villages after a major dam was destroyed by explosion.

The organisation also provided 30 cages to rescue and evacuate animals in need in the Mykolaiv region, as well as rescue equipment to pull animals out of the water.

The injured animals will be treated in clinics, the foundation, whose teams have been tending to stray animals in various cities across Ukraine since 2012, points out. Four Paws is collecting donations for its mission in the country.
