The Bulgarian Black Sea coast remains clean

Satellite observations and digital modelling of water currents in the Bulgarian Black Sea water area do not give cause for concern. According to the latest information from the Ministry of Environment and Water, there is no evidence of pollution of the Bulgarian waters of the Black Sea following the Kakhovka dam explosion.

The data of Black Sea Region Basin Directorate show that the potential pollution from the exploded Kakhovka dam in Ukraine is receding from the border of Romania, which means that the border of Bulgaria will not be reached.
The research of the Centre for Integrated Management and Monitoring of the Coastal Zone at the N.Y. Vaptsarov Higher Naval School in Sofia and also satellite observations indicate that no objects that can be classified as pollution are found.
