The wheat harvest is guaranteed and there is no danger of a grain crisis, Agriculture Minister Kiril Vatev said in the village of Gorno Pole, Madzharovo municipality. The rains are a problem in some places, there are regions where it is impossible to harvest, Vatev explained, specifying that grain moisture could be of concern. There are regions with good and even record yields, he pointed out, but he did not commit to making projections on harvests before the end of the campaign.

Vatev attended the first Festival of Mountain Cattle Breeding. The minister said that the problems with milk farm gate prices are piling up "like a snowball" and are extremely damaging. Therefore, national advisory councils will be set up as early as Monday on all sensitive issues in agriculture - milk, meat, land relations and water use, Vatev added.
