In Parliament: GERB leader Borissov heads Foreign Policy committee, PP-DB co-chair Petkov - EU Affairs

Three months after its start, the 49th National Assembly elected the chairs of 22 out of 25 parliamentary standing committees. The largest number of committees, 14, will be chaired by GERB-SDS, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - 5, and We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) - 3 committees.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov headed the Committew on Foreign Policy and PP co-chair Kiril Petkov the EU Affairs Committee. Daniel Mitov headed Committee for Control of the Security Services, and Hristo Gadzhev - the Committee on Defence. The Committee on Budget and Finance will be chaired by Jordan Tzonev from the MRF.
