An eight-year-old boy, who was struck by lightning last night in Burgas, is still in critical condition, the deputy director of the local hospital, Dr. Svetoslav Todorov reported. The child was taken to the hospital in clinical death after a family walk in the Sea Garden, during which a thunderstorm suddenly broke out.

"His vital signs are stable and if the circumstances are favorable, the child will wake up and the neurological indicators will be assessed," the doctor added. According to him, there is still danger to the boy's life.

Further tests are currently being carried out to see if there was damage to vital organs.
